Lucy has worked in the Charity sector for over 20 years in organisations in the arts, music, health, wellbeing and education sectors delivering transformational work to a wide range of marginalised groups. She is a member of the Institute of Fundraising and was awarded a Fellowship to the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) for making an outstanding contribution to social change within the arts. She brings experience at a senior level of strategic thinking, leadership, management and operations with a particular success in fundraising. This is demonstrated by the raising of £7.5 million to date (from trusts & foundations, Lottery, Local Authority commissioning and individual giving). This has been achieved by transforming organisations’ funding portfolios, through the reconstruction of evaluation frameworks and better management of data, networking and advocacy. Nick’s spent the majority of his career working for large national and global organisations in senior sales and marketing roles including working as Global Sales Director for Readers Digest.
Over the last fifteen years, having decided to set up his own consultancy, Nick has focused on working with smaller organisations and bringing his large business know how to help them grow. For a time, this was done through the government’s Business Growth Service.
Nick then turned his focus to working in the charity sector, attending a course on Sustainable Finance for Charities at Cass Business School and serving as Chair of Trustees of The Bridge Community Centre (in Brighton). Nick is now a trustee of two other Sussex charities. Until recently Nick chaired the Brighton Charity CEO Group and continues to mentor a number of senior charity figures.
