Linda Malone

Linda qualified as a music therapist in 1998 from Roehampton University in London, following a degree in English Literature, and several years as a music teacher. As a music therapist Linda has many years’ experience working with children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, communication disorders, emotional and behavioural problems, life-limiting conditions, dementia and trauma. This includes 7 years in the NHS, (Haringey LD service, South London & Maudesley NHS Trust), 5 years in a medium secure hospital for women with PTSD, complex mental illness, personality disorder and ongoing work in special schools. She has always been involved in music -making, learning piano and guitar, singing in choirs and later studying voicework and improvisation. Linda is also a drum workshop leader and has worked as a professional musician (percussion/harmony vocals) since the 1980’s. Linda is approved as a clinical supervisor by the British Association for Music Therapy (BAMT).HCPC Registration number: AS01798
