Claire Brook

Claire qualified as a Music Therapist in June 2017 from Roehampton University following a BA Honours degree in Music at the University of Sussex and a 15 year career teaching as a secondary school music teacher. Prior to this she worked as a Nursery Nurse for 8 years in a range of settings including a residential home for children with Autism. Claire’s clinical practise has focused mainly on children and adults with neuro-disability and she has completed additional training in relation to this work, qualifying as a Neurologic Music Therapist in September 2017 and as a MATADOC (Music Therapy Assessment Tool for Awareness in Disorders of Consciousness) assessor in March 2018. Claire is currently working for the Children’s Trust in Tadworth supporting children with brain injury. She has a special interest in vocal work and plans to begin training in Vocal Psychotherapy this year. In her free time, Claire enjoys singing in the Sussex University chamber choir and drumming in Brighton
