Community Projects

We currently provide several music therapy projects in the community funded by the Sussex Crisis Fund, National Lottery, Brighton and Hove Council, the Sussex Community Foundation, the SAF Project, the Chalk Cliff Trust and other charitable trusts:

Musical Pathways – offers a path out of social isolation through 1:1 and group music therapy both online and face-to-face.

The Women’s Centre Project – offers online and face-to-face music therapy, music and mindfulness and vocal psychotherapy.

Music for Asylum Seekers and Refugees – a new project bringing a range of musical activities to this population in Brighton and Hove as they await longer term placements.

Arts in Health

As well as music therapy services, Belltree delivers Arts in Health and Community Music projects. We currently have two main projects:

Dusty Bluebells Project brings together older people and young children through traditional storytelling, songs and musical improvisation. See the Dusty Bluebells Facebook page for more information:

Core Sounds is a pop-up music studio which enables young people to learn instrumental and music tech skills and collaborate creatively through songwriting and musical composition. This project takes place in Youth Clubs and Schools including lunchtime and after school clubs.
